How to Determine the Correct Strap Hole Size:
Since the type and size of the strap buttons on guitars, basses, and ukuleles vary, we offer different hole sizes to match. This allows you to attach your new strap to your instrument right away and start playing. To determine the correct hole size, simply measure the outer diameter of your strap button.

 

 

Up to 14 mm outer diameter:
Hole size: 8 mm (for standard strap buttons)
This hole size is suitable for all guitars, basses, and ukuleles equipped with the factory-installed standard strap button. These strap buttons are typically cone-shaped. For these strap buttons, we recommend a strap with an 8 mm hole and slot on both ends.

From 15 mm outer diameter:
Hole size: 10 mm (for maxi strap buttons)
Some guitar manufacturers use larger strap buttons on their instruments, for example PRS Guitars. The inner diameter of the button is typically 9 or 10 mm. For these larger strap buttons, a 10 mm hole with a slot is required so the strap can fit over the outer disc. The disc itself has an outer diameter of approximately 13–15 mm.

If a cable is plugged into the endpin:
Hole size: 10 mm on one side (for output jack)
If your guitar is equipped with a pickup system, the output jack may also serve as the rear strap button. To attach the strap at this point, a 10 mm hole with a slot is required. The strap button at the neck is usually a standard 8 mm button. If you select this option, you will receive a strap with an 8 mm hole at the front and a 10 mm hole at the rear.

If a strap lock system is already installed:
Hole size: 10 mm (for Schaller Locks)
If you use a strap lock system from "Schaller", "Warwick", "Dunlop", or "Loxx", we recommend the 10 mm hole without a slot. Since the hole fits precisely over the threaded post, no slot is required. This option is only available with genuine leather ends. If you choose vegan leather, you will receive the larger hole with a slot instead.
